Cookie Policy
Effective date: 26 August 2026 Version: 2.0
This policy explains what cookies monneva.com uses, why, and how you control them. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Some are needed for the site to function; others exist to measure how the site is used. The distinction matters legally: the first kind may be set without asking, the second may not.
2. Our position in one paragraph
No analytics or measurement cookie is placed on your device unless you accept it. The analytics script itself is not loaded until you consent — it is not loaded and blocked, it is not loaded at all. If you decline, or simply ignore the banner, the site works normally and we learn nothing about your visit beyond what our security logs record.
3. Cookies we use
3.1 Strictly necessary — always active
These cannot be switched off, because the site cannot function without them. They store no marketing information and are not shared with anyone.
| Purpose | Party | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Remembering your cookie choice | This site | 6 months |
| Session continuity while you complete a form | This site | Until you close the browser |
| Security and bot filtering at network level | Cloudflare (our infrastructure and security provider) | Up to 30 days |
| Invisible human verification on the quotation form | Cloudflare Turnstile | Session only |
The invisible check deserves a note: it exists to stop automated scripts flooding our quotation form. It shows you no puzzle, asks you to identify no images, and does not track you across other websites.
3.2 Analytics — only with your consent
| Purpose | Party | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Distinguishing visitors and sessions so we can count them | Google Analytics 4 | Up to 24 months |
We use this to answer questions such as which products draw the most interest and whether the site works properly on mobile devices. IP addresses are anonymised automatically by the platform. We hold no Google Ads or advertising platform account, Google Signals is disabled, and we use neither remarketing nor audience sharing. Google Analytics user and event data is retained for no longer than 14 months.
3.3 Cookies we do not use
- Advertising or retargeting cookies
- Social media tracking pixels
- Cross-site profiling of any kind
- Third-party data brokers
4. How your consent is handled
Consent is only valid if it is freely given and if we can demonstrate we obtained it. Accordingly:
- Accepting and refusing take the same effort. The first screen you see carries both an accept and a reject option, of equal size and equal visual weight. Refusing is never hidden behind a second menu.
- Nothing is pre-selected. Only strictly necessary cookies are active by default, and they are the only category that cannot be switched off.
- Closing the banner is not consent. If you dismiss it without choosing, no analytics cookie is set.
- We record your choice. We store the date and time, the version of the banner you were shown, and the categories you accepted or refused. This record exists so that we can prove consent if asked — and so that we know to ask again when the policy changes.
- Withdrawal is as easy as consent. A cookie settings link sits permanently in the site footer.
5. How to control cookies
On this site. The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. You can change your decision at any time from the cookie settings link in the site footer.
In your browser. Every modern browser lets you view, block or delete cookies through its privacy settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop the quotation form from working correctly.
Withdrawing consent has no cost. Declining analytics does not restrict any part of the site, does not affect the quotation you receive, and does not degrade your experience in any way.
6. Changes
Where we add or remove a cookie, this policy is updated and the version number changes. If we ever introduce a new category of cookie, your existing consent does not carry over — we ask again.
7. Version history
| Version | Date | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| 1.0 | 26 August 2026 | First publication |
